Claims Settlement Process

Please refer to the Claims section of our website for complete details of our claims settlement process. In addition to the basic claim requirements mentioned there, NRI's would have to meet the following requirements:

If death has happened outside India but cremation/burial is in India -

• Embalming certificate
• Coroner's report / Cause of Death Certificate
• Copy of Death certificate verified by the Indian Embassy / High Commission

If death and cremation/burial is outside India –

• Coroner's report / Cause of Death Certificate
• Copy of Death certificate verified by the Indian Embassy / High Commission

If the claimant is living outside India, then the payments will be made to the NRO account of the claimant.
